I've moved things to a new site but incorporating this stuff, which might still be useful to some people, won't happen so I'm leaving it here for a bit longer.

I use and recommend the Debian distribution of Linux. Variants of Debian include Ubuntu, MEPIS, Knoppix and Linspire (formerly LindowsOS)

I usually buy my CDs of Debian (and other Linux distributions) from Copyleft NZ.
